COVID-19 Update

27/06/2020

Hi everyone,

You may or may not have heard but the good news is we can expect to return to some form of training from the 13th of July (assuming the infection rate remains low) as per the recent announcement from the Scottish Government and the Scottish Football Association.

To this end the committee and the head coaches have started planning for the return to training and aim to have everything complete for the 13th July.

We do not have all the information required from the SFA at present but expect more guidance to be released over the next two weeks leading up to the return date. When we receive more information, we will make sure we send out a communication to make sure you are all up to speed.

The most important aspect of returning to training is ensuring EVERYONE knows the expectations around arriving, taking part and leaving. To help everyone understand we have produced 3 visual guide that will be sent out to you via the head coach of your team. We will also post them on the Swifts Facebook page for everyone to access too.

Please take time to review the visuals and raise any queries with the head coach. You should also use the next 2 weeks leading up to the return to ensure you have the necessary items such as hand sanitizer and water bottles clearly marked with the players name.

At this moment in time the club would like to thank everyone who has continued to pay their 50% fees over the last 3 months. Without this the club would have really struggled to make it through this difficult period and be able to mobilise as quickly as we need to have players back playing.

With regards to fees we are proposing to keep fees at 50% for July and may return to full fees from August onwards. We will keep you posted on this but as always, should you be in a position whereby you cannot pay, please contact the head coach of your team or our club treasurer Laura Murray.

In addition, when we start back a number of age groups will be moving from 4s to 5s, 5s to 7s, 7s, to 9s, or 9s to 11s. Due to this some of the monthly fees may need to be altered to reflect the pay structure at the club. 4s and 5s pay £20 per months, 7s pay £25 per months and 9s and 11s pay £30 per month. This will be communicated to your head coach in advance of the change when the time comes.

Finally, we hope you guys and the players are as excited as we are about getting back to playing some football. Although games will be a while away it will be great to be back to some level of normality and back kicking a baw………..

Thanks for your continued support and if you have any questions/queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your head coach or a committee member via MCH or the Swifts Facebook Messenger.
